Rescheduling Lessons
I am happy to offer to offer Makeup Lessons when my schedule allows, as long as they are communicated well in advance. Please use the steps on this page to cancel and reschedule your qualified lesson. ​

Makeup Lessons must be scheduled via this website, based on my availability during my working hours. Please do not book sessions unless your absence qualifies for a Makeup Lesson, or I will cancel the session.
My policy on rescheduling lessons is included in the Panoramic Piano Studio Policy document, as well as at the bottom of this webpage. Note that makeup lessons are never guaranteed, as my availability is limited and may not match your availability.

Ensure that your lesson qualifies for a Makeup Lesson
Makeups are allowed if the absence was communicated at least two weeks in advance, or in the case of a family emergency, such as a funeral or medical emergency, or in the rare case that I have to cancel a lesson unexpectedly. Makeup lessons are not given for student illness, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, though virtual lessons are an option in these cases.

Cancel Existing Lesson
If possible, decline the calendar event as soon as you know about the absence (if you don’t use a digital calendar, you may skip this), and then email me to notify me about the absence using this template:

This is the email I will use to verify that enough notice was given to offer a makeup lesson.

Find a New Lesson Time
Use the link below to find a new lesson time. I will automatically receive notification when it has been scheduled. If you are unable to find a time that works for you, continue monitoring the site for new times (which open when other students cancel). Please note that Makeup Lessons are only available during my working hours, so I cannot guarantee that a time will work for you. You are allowed to "downgrade" your time if you see a slot that works (i.e. a 60-min student may book a 45-min makeup), but this will forfeit the remainder of that lesson time.
Book a Makeup Lesson
Makeup Lessons Policy (as found in the Panoramic Piano Studio Policy)

Tuition is nonrefundable, regardless of how many lessons the student attends. When I reserve a slot for a student in my regular schedule, I will be holding that spot for them.
Makeup lessons may only be scheduled via my website, based on availability during my working hours, and ONLY under the following circumstances:
1. The absence was communicated at least two weeks in advance. This time is VERY important: with two weeks notice, another student might be able to fill the slot. Without this notice, I would often be left with unexpected, unpaid gaps in my work hours.
2. A family emergency arises, such as a funeral or medical emergency.
3. Dr. Freeman has to miss the lesson due to an illness or emergency, or with two weeks notice.
ALL unused makeup lessons expire at the end of each term.
Lessons will NOT be rescheduled under any of the following circumstances, though they should take place virtually as scheduled whenever possible:
1. The student is ill. In cases of slight illness, let me know in advance and we may be able to meet wearing masks.
2. There is inclement weather or an unforeseen circumstance arises.
