Level 1X Piano for Adults

Service Description

It's never too late to learn (or re-learn) a new skill! The level 1X class is an accelerated beginner class specifically designed for adults who have some musical background, whether that be from playing the piano or other instruments in the past, participating in ensembles, etc. As an instructor, I will incorporate some mindfulness techniques to make the class relaxing and low stress while also pushing you to challenge yourself in new ways. Class requirements: -Basic understanding of staff reading -Access to a piano or digital piano at home* -Commitment to about 20 mins per day of practice Class objectives: -Learn basic piano technique and theory through technical exercises -Learn to play at least ten new pieces on the piano -Perform one piece in a class recital (optional) Notes: -If the instructor has an illness or emergency arise, the class will extend an extra week. Students may wish to hold that date as a potential makeup time. -Each class will be recorded and sent via email, so students who are unable to attend a class may still receive the content virtually. -Tuition is non-refundable. *All other books and materials are included in the course fee.
