What does my tuition cover?

  • My expertise, including 10 years of higher education in piano performance and pedagogy at esteemed programs and universities working with some of today's top pedagogues and performers

  • Access to a held private lesson time slot 

  • Access to group makeup classes and other group classes

  • Time I spend in the following ways:

    • Researching latest developments in piano teaching, attending teaching conferences, finding new music and methods, etc.

    • Curating music book lists (books not included in tuition)

    • Managing a small business - bookkeeping, scheduling, filing taxes, and communicating

    • Volunteering and organizing student and teacher events through local music organizations, particularly the Madison Area Music Educators

  • Shared studio resources:

    • Instrument tuning and maintenance, as well as other studio space maintenance

    • Studio rental and insurance costs

    • Printing costs

    • My digital library of studio licensed sheet music, including recital pieces

  • Recital venue and reception fees
